Electronic Systems Technician

U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to join its maintenance department on 2nd shift in Nashville, Tennessee. As an Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing electrical equipment, components, and controls within the manufacturing facility to maintain daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test equipment components
- Install new and repaired equipment components
- Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities
- Ability to work from drawings and manuals in troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and/or calibrating electrical equipment and devices
- Interpreting schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine procedures
- Preparing logs and reports to record work summaries and test results
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States and for the Altria family of companies
- Available to work on any shift, and must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Three or more years of experience as an Industrial Electronic Technician
- Background in troubleshooting and installing Microprocessor-based digital control, programming variable frequency drives/Servo Drives, and other Industrial Electronic Equipment
- Background in Windows Operation Systems to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and DOS
- Strong grasp of NFPA 70E arc flash ratings and standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to trace and diagnose malfunctions using hand tools and test equipment such as multi-meters
- Experience with 3-phase 240/480 volt power distribution systems
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting wage of $38.72 per hour
