Electro Mechanical Designer Opportunity

Selectek is seeking a skilled Electro Mechanical Designer to join our client's engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and preparing shop drawings and Bills of Material for high voltage switch products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience with electrical components. You will work closely with the engineering team to design and develop new products, as well as make electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detail drawings and layouts for parts and equipment used by the Transmission Switch Product Division.
  • Develop Bills of Material for assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Review and process orders for production.
  • Make electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation.
  • Initiate changes to existing drawings as assigned by Senior Designer or Application Engineer.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical design experience.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc).
  • Proficient with AutoCAD.

Job Details:

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a pay range of $20/hour - $27/hour depending on experience. The role will be based in Hampton, GA, and will require working Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, with occasional overtime expected.

Work Environment:

Business casual attire is required, and the client does not require a background check or drug test.
