The Referral Coordinator's duties include coordinating, processing, obtaining prior authorizations, and requesting reports for various medical referrals for services/procedures as directed by healthcare providers. This role involves collaboration with other referral personnel, medical providers, and patient care support staff to ensure effective communication and successful tracking and coordination of referrals.

This position requires working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a dedicated, customer service-oriented team that values a positive work environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant (MA) in an outpatient environment, or in medical case management.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures, including CPT and ICD codes.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in PC-based software applications and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Two years of experience in referral coordination or medical assisting.
  • Understanding of insurance providers and their authorization processes.
  • Medical Assistant certification.
  • Experience in a community health center.
  • Knowledge of EHR and registration/billing software.

If hired at TrueCare, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience, along with internal equity considerations among current team members. Please note that the mentioned range reflects the full base salary range for the role, and hiring at the maximum would not be typical to allow for future salary growth. We also provide generous benefits and retirement plans.
