Position Summary:

The Process Improvement Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing operations. This position involves planning and designing efficient manufacturing processes within our production facilities. The ideal candidate will analyze equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to maximize operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may include additional tasks as deemed necessary:

  • Assist in the design, development, execution, and evaluation of product specifications and process validation plans for various products and components.
  • Utilize CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software to create structural designs, model new concepts, and produce detailed engineering drawings.
  • Verify designs through calculations and analytical techniques, ensuring compliance with manufacturing processes, particularly in metal fabrication and assembly.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) methodologies to produce robust engineering packages that enhance productivity.
  • Define testing requirements and interpret results to validate designs, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Embrace lean principles to improve manufacturing and business processes, executing engineering changes through established documentation protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in computer simulation, cost estimation, design optimization, and engineering analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry standards and practices.
  • Experience with CAD and CAE software, along with problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills, including statistical techniques and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with production teams and leadership.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a creative, innovative mindset.
