Job Title: Automotive Diagnostic Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to join our team at NSG Group/Pilkington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing automotive diagnostic work, including windshield scan tool target assembly and setup, required measurements, pre and post scanning of vehicles, and troubleshooting as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all automotive diagnostic work, including windshield scan tool target assembly and setup, required measurements, pre and post scanning of vehicles, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to mechanical individuals, including employees and clients on a daily and consistent basis.
  • Manage scheduling of automotive diagnostic calibration jobs, including coordinating with automotive glass retailers on scheduling.
  • Develop and utilize working knowledge in the use and maintenance of advanced and OE level diagnostic scan tools.
  • Serve as primary client contact as needed within the service process, including Tier 1 customer service.
  • Maintain local customer relationships and assist sales team in commercial activity, including participation in sales blitz and other commercial actions, identifying potential customers, and demonstrations.
  • Responsible for managing operational costs to budget for local market.
  • Manage billing customers and collecting for all jobs as needed.
  • Track and report on specified quality measures.
  • Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business conduct and Its Values.
  • Adhere to NSG/Pilkington Safety Standards and Practices.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of car dealership experience or experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician.
