Program Manager for Admissions and Events

This full-time position at Spelman College is responsible for the effective planning and execution of Office of Admissions sponsored pre-college summer programs. The incumbent will also support the Office of Admissions in the execution of on-campus Admissions events and special projects.
About the JobThe Program Manager for Admissions and Events will be responsible for assisting in the planning of pre-college summer programs, serving as the first point of contact for parents and students, managing the hiring process and supervision of summer program student staff, and assisting in the development and execution of a marketing and recruitment plan.
The incumbent will work closely with the Director of Admissions to execute on-campus Admissions events and special projects. This includes coordinating and/or assisting with campus programs and special events for prospective students and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-College Programs
- Assist in planning of pre-college summer programs hosted by the Office of Admissions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for parents and students throughout the summer programs inquiry to enrollment funnel.
- Manage the hiring process and supervision of summer program student staff.
- Assist in the hiring and training of program staff, including program coordinators, students, and other support staff.
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services to support successful summer program operations.
- Develop, update, and facilitate program activities.
- Keep on-call schedule throughout the summer to address and communicate any emergencies that arise.
- Oversee catering, event, and communication logistics for Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Field Trips.
- Serve as first point of contact in residential dorm for student staff.
- Attend all field trips with student staff.
- Develop and administer program surveys.
- Provide assessment and analytics to Program Manager and Director of Admissions.
- Campus Summer Programs Liaison
- Support the Admissions Program Manager as a campus liaison to all pre-college, research, and educational summer programs hosted on the Spelman College campus.
- Work with program leads across campus to synthesize best practices, policies, and processes for managing on-campus summer programming.
- Attend campus partnership meetings with Program Manager.
- Special Admissions Projects
- Coordinate and/or assist with campus programs and special events for prospective students and their families.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite, including the preparation of mail merges, flyers, and spreadsheets. Strong oral and written communication skills are also required.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and strong organizational and time management skills.
Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
