About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Stormwater Design Engineer to join our team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the development of stormwater/water resources infrastructure, including the preparation of preliminary engineering reports, design plans, technical specifications, and estimated project costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis, design, and preparation of technical reports for diverse stormwater projects, including open channels, closed conduit systems, pump stations, and detention/retention ponds.
  • Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimates (PS&E), and respond to construction Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on overall engineering processes and strategy, and work independently as well as oversee the work of teams of professionals and technicians.
  • Demonstrate experience successfully working with clients in the Houston metropolitan region, including Harris County Flood Control District, Harris County Engineering, and City of Houston.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable engineering or applied science degree) and at least 5+ years related experience.
  • Texas professional engineer registration (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months).
