Job Summary

As a Senior Counsel at Chord Energy, you will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance and advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including litigation and general commercial issues. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a hybrid work schedule that allows for flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary legal support for the Company's litigation matters, including drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements and disputes.
  • Support the Company's general commercial matters, including supply chain, IT, and other agreements, with a focus on providing business-oriented recommendations and guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks related to litigation and commercial matters.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing legal and regulatory environments and communicate potential impacts on the Company.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited school and a minimum of 6 years of experience in managing litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management, outside counsel, and industry peers.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound legal and business judgment, with a focus on creativity and risk-taking.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to manage confidences within the Company.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
