Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist dentists with patient management, including instrument transfer, isolation, oral evacuation, and preparation of dental instruments and materials.
• Maintain autoclave, ultrasonic, and other equipment as necessary, ensuring accurate logs and records are kept.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental operatory and instruments according to OSHA guidelines.
• Ensure vital signs and medical history are reviewed and documented at initial seating, and provide patient education on oral hygiene, nutritional counseling, and post-operative instructions as needed.
• Assist in maintaining adequate supply of inventory and follow protocol for ordering supplies.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to travel independently to other locations as needed.

Requirements:
• High School Degree or GED, plus graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
• Radiology, Infection Control, and Jurisprudence certification, as well as CPR certification.
• One year of dental assisting experience in a dental office preferred.
