Role Summary:
The Project Architect serves as the Technical Lead on various projects, ensuring the successful execution of technical aspects as a vital member of the project leadership team. This role requires advanced expertise in the Project Architect domain.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the technical execution of small to medium-sized projects with limited complexity.
- Collaborate closely with design and management leaders to coordinate resources and integrate inputs from project inception to completion.
- Actively participate in all project phases, including scope definition, design support, compliance with jurisdictional requirements, documentation, and construction administration.
- Oversee specific technical design elements, conducting investigations and recommending effective design solutions.
- Ensure that construction documents align with the overall design intent.
- Conduct code analyses and serve as a liaison with relevant jurisdictions.
- Review submittals during construction and maintain accurate logs for RFIs and submittals.
- Assist in managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
- Conduct on-site observations and prepare detailed field reports.
- Coordinate document management and design detailing.
- Organize project teams and assignments to complete architectural and interior design projects.
- Utilize advanced techniques and adapt standard practices as necessary.
- Demonstrated expertise in fulfilling key responsibilities associated with the Project Architect role.
- Strong technical execution skills and comprehensive knowledge of the design process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or focus on a single client across various project types.
- Effective communication skills for addressing technical and integration issues promptly.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Extensive experience across all phases of architecture, including project planning and construction.
- Knowledge of building materials, codes, specifications, and construction techniques.
- Familiarity with ADA requirements, zoning laws, and jurisdictional processes.
- Proficient in business writing and communication.
- Skilled in software applications such as REVIT, Bluebeam, Newforma, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with BIM modeling.
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
- Typically, eight or more years of experience in commercial architecture, with optional experience in interior design.
