Millwright - Swing Shift - Roseburg Studmill

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at the Roseburg Studmill. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in maximizing mill efficiency by performing preventive maintenance, repairing and modifying machinery, and installing new equipment. You will work closely with the Maintenance Director, lead millwright, electricians, production supervisors, machine operators, and cleanup personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the mill.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, completing PMs as scheduled
* Repair and modify machinery, troubleshooting equipment problems and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and gravitational components
* Order replacement parts and record further work to be done on the 'Work List'
* Install new machinery and learn to operate machine centers
* Assist with pre-shift warm-up of machinery and maintain a clean and organized shop and parts area
* Operate forklifts, manlifts, hoists, cranes, key cutters, drills, presses, and weld and fabricate using arc and wire feed welders, cutting torches, and track burners
* Read and follow blueprints and other specification SOP documents
* Work with a Safety-First attitude, using the ACES as a guideline for all decision making
* Participate in special projects as assigned and work in confined spaces as required

Requirements:

* Welding and fabricating skills
* Ability to repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, and machine alignment
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems in manufacturing
* Ability to identify different metal compositions, work with a variety of millwright tools, and use machine-specific lockout procedures
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to communicate effectively with team members
* Required to prioritize, organize, and make necessary decisions

Communication:

* Communicate effectively with team members via face-to-face meetings, radio, and telephone regarding troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, safety, etc.
* Write legibly and have excellent communication skills

Personal Expenses:

Millwrights are required to provide their own set of tools, with a tool allowance provided by the company

Hours per Shift/Schedule:

Swing Shift: Employee works 10-12 hours per day, with two or three 10-minute rest breaks and one 30-minute unpaid meal period during the day
