The Registered Nurse - Wound Healing position at Winona Health is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on wound management and prevention. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can assess and triage patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and triage patients with complex wounds, including pressure, venous, arterial, diabetic, and cancerous ulcers
* Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote wound healing and prevent complications
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
* Provide education and counseling to patients and families on wound prevention and management techniques
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce wound-related complications and improve patient satisfaction
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing
* Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Minnesota
* Certification as a Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse)
* BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of related clinical experience
* Certification in wound care or ostomy care
