Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at Winona Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized care to Obstetrical/Gynecological and Medical/Surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify care plans based on patient needs, consulting with medical staff and staying up-to-date on current nursing practices, medications, and legal issues.
  • Serve as a resource to other team members, ensuring adherence to infection control policies and conducting medical screening exams.
  • Collect, interpret, and document patient data, communicating effectively with healthcare teams and reporting malfunctioning equipment.
  • Ccoordinate newborn care, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and may float to the Intensive Care Unit as necessary.
  • Provide safe and effective care to patients, including fetal monitoring, labor management, and education for prenatal patients and breastfeeding mothers.
Requirements:
  • Required: RN License in Minnesota, BLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation certification, STABLE Certification, and Basic computer skills.
  • Preferred: ACLS, prior maternity nursing experience, and verbalization of role in public address codes.
