Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) will provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, and independent living environments. This role requires a strong foundation in internal medicine and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain, evaluate, and interpret lab results, perform physical exams, and therapeutic procedures.
- Provide general medical care to adults and geriatric patients, including comprehensive evaluations and physical exams.
- Address acute and chronic primary care complaints, and determine medical urgency.
- Establish and document reasonable medical diagnoses, order diagnostic testing, and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Accept feedback and direction from supervising physicians, create and implement medical plans of care, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
- Valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
- Valid Wisconsin DEA
- Minimum 1 year internal medicine experience
