Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Specialist

Job Description:The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) will work under the clinical supervision of licensed physicians to provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients in Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining, evaluating, and interpreting lab results
- Performing physical exams and therapeutic procedures
- Providing general medical care to adults and geriatric patients
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations, including history and physical exams
- Addressing acute and chronic primary care complaints and determining medical urgency
- Establishing and documenting reasonable medical diagnoses
- Ordering diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing as needed
- Accepting feedback and direction from supervising physicians
- Creating and implementing medical plans of care
- Performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within their level of training and expertise
- Prescribing medications as appropriate
- Documenting and billing timely
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
- A valid Wisconsin DEA
- A minimum of 1 year of Internal Medicine experience
