Job Description:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) will function under the clinical supervision of licensed physicians, providing diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare to patients in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living, and independent living environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and be able to provide comprehensive evaluations, including history and physical exams, and establish and document reasonable medical diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain, evaluate, and interpret lab results
  • Perform physical exams and therapeutic procedures
  • Provide general medical care to various patient levels, including adults and geriatric patients
  • Establish and document reasonable medical diagnoses
  • Order pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing
  • Accept feedback and direction from the supervising physician
  • Create and implement a medical plan of care
  • Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within their level of training and expertise
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Perform timely documentation and billing
Requirements:
  • Valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
  • Valid Wisconsin DEA
  • Minimum 1 year internal medicine experience
