Neuromuscular Medicine Faculty Position

Ideal candidates will possess:
- A strong commitment to teamwork, innovation, and collaborative practice.
- Expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and muscle disorders.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology and Neuromuscular medicine, including proficiency in EMG and/or Clinical Neurophysiology.
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and engaging in academic activities.
What we provide:
- A position focused entirely on outpatient care, with inpatient responsibilities managed by dedicated Neurohospitalists.
- Robust interdisciplinary collaboration within the specialty.
- Opportunities to educate medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows.
- Participation in neuromuscular clinical trials and collaboration with university-wide research initiatives, with mentorship from experienced investigators and principal investigators.
- Integration of a portion of the role with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
- 10-20% of unallocated time for personal interests.
- Minimal on-call responsibilities, averaging only 1-2 nights per month.
- Comprehensive support for individual professional interests.
About the MUSC Neuromuscular Program:
- A dynamic team comprising 2 faculty members, 1 advanced practice provider, efficient administrative staff, EMG lab specialists, and nursing personnel.

- Newly renovated, state-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for neuromuscular patients.
- Multiple interdisciplinary clinics providing advanced diagnostics, rehabilitation services, post-clinic care coordination, and social support, including the esteemed MDA Care Center and ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence.
