Job Title: Adjunct Faculty in Business and Information Technology

Job Summary: Mountain Empire Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach in the Division of Business and Information Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a passion for delivering high-quality instruction to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in a classroom or online environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in the field of business and information technology.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field or a bachelor's degree with significant relevant work experience.
  • Teaching effectiveness, academic preparation, and/or related occupational experience requirements based on criteria in the VCCS-29: Normal Minimum Criteria for Each Faculty Rank.
  • Ability to deliver coursework electronically in an online environment and utilizing multiple teaching strategies as well as in-person instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wide range of coursework in the area of instruction.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into instruction.
