About the Role

Cisco Equipment Rentals LLC is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical service on customer and company equipment in the shop, ensuring timely and effective repairs to meet customer needs and company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical work as directed in the shop on heavy construction/farm or material handling equipment to correct problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, working with the Shop Foreman or Service Manager to determine the necessary repairs and parts required.
  • Present repair orders to the parts department, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts needed for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate time records for each job, supporting customer billing and internal accounting requirements.
  • Provide personal tools for work, using and maintaining company-provided tools as needed.
  • Work safely at all times, complying with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean work area and assist other mechanics as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, with continuing education in mechanics or engineering preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in heavy construction/farm equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Personal skills must include mechanical ability, analytical thinking, and work organization.
  • Ability to prioritize work, focus on tasks, and maintain a high sense of urgency.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
