AmeriCorps - American Red Cross seeks a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Coordinator in Fairbanks, AK. As a member of our Public Health AmeriCorps program, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of others while gaining valuable professional experience.

Job Overview

This is an in-person role with regional travel that requires approximately 40+ hours per week for 5.5 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and conducting outreach within communities to recruit a diverse pool of volunteers. You will also complete and assist volunteers in navigating the onboarding process to engage as a Red Cross volunteer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach within communities to recruit volunteers
  • Complete and assist volunteers in navigating the onboarding process
  • Schedule presentations and hands-only CPR instruction sessions
  • Support communities through delivery of preparedness presentations and hands-only CPR instruction
Requirements
  • Must be able to serve 40+ hours per week for 5.5 months
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Holds a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident
  • Possess a valid driver's license
