The successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, verify compliance with project specifications, and ensure the quality and integrity of broadband infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct on-site inspections of broadband infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
* Verify the quality of construction work, materials, and equipment used in broadband deployment projects.
* Document inspection findings, observations, and any non-compliance issues for reporting and corrective action.
* Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and sub-recipients to address and resolve issues identified during inspections.
* Monitor project timelines and progress to ensure timely completion of broadband projects within budget and scope.
* Communicate inspection results and recommendations to program leadership, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies as needed.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspection activities for reporting and accountability purposes.
* Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in broadband infrastructure development to enhance inspection processes.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED; additional certification or training in construction, engineering, or related fields is a plus.
* 1 year or more of previous experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related field work, preferably in telecommunications or infrastructure projects.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across the state.
* Knowledge of construction practices relevant to broadband infrastructure projects.
* Strong attention to detail and observational skills to assess construction quality and compliance.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with construction inspection tools and equipment.

Work Environment:

This is a remote and in-office role with a hybrid work schedule. The position requires the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours.

Travel Requirements:

This job will require you to travel around your selected area/district with a mileage reimbursement of $0.67/mi.
