SUMMARY
- Generates additional revenue for the dealership by promoting finance and insurance products along with other relevant after-sale items to both new and pre-owned vehicle customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offers comprehensive explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranty options to customers.
- Facilitates the conversion of cash transactions into financing arrangements.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with various financing institutions, including manufacturers.
- Accurately processes finance and lease transactions through financial institutions to secure necessary approvals.
- Conducts business ethically and professionally.
- Handles all federal, state, and dealership paperwork associated with vehicle transactions.
- Understands and adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle and finance departments.
- Completes all necessary documentation for vehicle sales and leases efficiently and promptly.
- Verifies all documentation for accuracy regarding titles, liens, taxes, etc., before submission to accounting.
- Maintains an up-to-date state insurance license and completes any required continuing education.
- Provides customers with detailed information about manufacturer and dealership service policies and procedures.
- Continuously seeks new lending institutions to secure competitive financing rates and programs.
- Equips the sales team and managers with up-to-date information on finance and lease options.
- Educates the sales staff on the advantages of financing, insurance, and extended service plans.
- Collaborates with sales managers to optimize the sales process.
- Aligns finance forecasting with sales department projections to achieve targeted penetration and income levels.
- Ensures the collection of all finance and insurance fees.
- Prepares finance penetration reports.
- Works closely with the general sales manager to set and achieve sales department goals and objectives.
- Develops and oversees guidelines for customer interactions to maximize satisfaction.
- Supervises and trains designated backups to ensure ongoing efficiency and profitability in the absence of the F&I manager.
- Maintains an adequate supply of all necessary contracts and paperwork for finalizing vehicle transactions.
- Upholds a professional appearance and maintains a clean work environment.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
- Exercises supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, which may include training employees, directing work, and addressing complaints.
