Job DescriptionAs a Medical Receptionist at ChenMed, you will be one of our patients' first points of contact, serving as an advocate and delivering exceptional customer service. Your role will involve checking patients in and out, providing basic secretarial support, and maintaining accurate records.
You will utilize computer equipment and programs to add new patient information, print relevant forms, and schedule appointments. Additionally, you will ensure patient contact and emergency contact information is accurately documented in our system.
- Answer telephones, take detailed messages, and direct them to the appropriate individual.
- Verify patient insurance via phone or website and collect any necessary copays.
- Present patients with customer service surveys during check-out and escalate issues if needed.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients' personal information and medical records.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical clinic or similar environment.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
- Spoken and written fluency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
