Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze transmission line projects to meet industry standards
  • Report to a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Engage with various stakeholders to fulfill project requirements
  • Facilitate meetings, generate technical documentation, and create comprehensive design packages
  • Support construction initiatives and bridge communication between engineering and construction teams
  • Adhere to Stantec's Design Practices and assist in project proposal development

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong self-motivation with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in technical writing and fluent in English
  • Experience in modeling and designing transmission lines
  • Familiarity with software tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and structural analysis applications
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Willingness to learn about new technologies and methodologies in transmission line design

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in the design and construction of transmission lines
  • P.E. License is preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
