Associate Wealth Advisor Role

The Associate Wealth Advisor position at Buckingham Strategic Wealth is an exciting opportunity to work with a planning-centric advisory team dedicated to designing, building, and protecting the financial dreams of individuals and families. This role involves partnering with Wealth Advisors to maintain and enhance client relationships through active participation in the financial planning process.

This position requires a hybrid working schedule; associates are required to be in the office 2 days per week in the Deerfield location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Buckingham's evidence-based investment philosophy and apply it to create personalized investment strategies for clients.
  • Collaborate with other Associate Wealth Advisors to share knowledge and best practices, and to support each other in delivering exceptional client service.
  • Create and present comprehensive financial plans using Money Guide Elite and Holistiplan, and develop a mastery of technology stack including Salesforce, Orion, ShareFile, and custodian websites.
  • Develop a personalized Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and holistic investment strategy for each client, and work closely with the Portfolio Management team to approve and execute portfolios, trade recommendations, and tax loss harvesting.
  • Independently lead client communications and interactions, and serve as the day-to-day contact for client needs, collaborating with team members to ensure the highest level of client service.
  • Complete client billing reviews and collaborate with the billing department to ensure compliance, and engage in advisory team business planning efforts and actively support the firm's strategic priorities.
  • Meet with clients in person, and some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Professional certification CFP, CFA or CPA/PFS preferred.
  • Series 65 required within 100 days of employment
  • 2+ years of direct client-facing experience (financial services experience a plus) or relevant financial planning degree
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; team-orientated approach
  • Knowledge of financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
