Position Overview

As a Sales Lead, your primary role will be to proactively enhance and secure sales within your assigned region. You will thrive in this position by effectively addressing the needs of current sales accounts while strategically fostering additional business growth through knowledgeable and consultative selling methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the representative voice of the customer.
  • Perform tasks to meet the needs of existing clients within the designated territory.
  • Educate clients on the most suitable products for their requirements.
  • Utilize informed selling techniques to introduce new offerings and fill gaps in current distribution.
  • Regularly visit accounts to provide service and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Develop a personalized sales strategy that considers customer needs and geographic factors for effective outreach.
  • Establish a comprehensive selling plan for each client; collaborate closely with clients to understand and support their business strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • In the absence of a support representative, the Sales Lead will be responsible for merchandising tasks (e.g., stocking shelves, creating displays).
  • Enhance sales skills and knowledge of the organization’s products, services, and clientele.
  • Be prepared to work evenings and weekends for promotional events and other account-related activities.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Three to six months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of customer needs.

Additional Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the Wine and Spirits sector is advantageous.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Sake Specialist are beneficial.
