Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Howard County General Hospital. As a member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a critical role in performing a variety of technical and patient-oriented duties during cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of technical and patient-oriented duties during cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertions, arteriograms, venograms, digital subtractions, vascular studies, nephrostograms, angioplasty, and other related studies.
  • Utilize a variety of equipment, including monitoring equipment, surgical instruments, cardiac output machines, pulse oximeters, ECG machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, cine film processors, and viewers.
  • Perform invasive procedures, ECGs, and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Prepare test results and data for review.
  • Assist with pre and post-procedure management of patients according to lab guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • One year of cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
  • Current radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Maryland.
  • Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Interventional Technologist (CIT) preferred.
  • IV certification by HCGH within ninety days of hire date.
