Computed Tomography Technologist

Ascension is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomographic procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for computed tomographic procedures, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
- Operate computed tomographic equipment, selecting appropriate technical parameters to achieve high-quality images.
- Administer contrast media and medications as needed, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
- One or more of the following certifications: Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (ARRT).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
