We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven HVAC Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team at Johnson Controls in Nashville. As an integral part of our sales force, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expanding market share in the residential and commercial HVAC sectors.


About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling Residential and Commercial HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to HVAC contractors. You will develop partnerships with existing customers to increase their share of wallet while recruiting new customers into the York family to boost market share.

You will represent one of the leading brands in the HVAC distribution channel for York Factory Direct, promoting the JCI portfolio in your assigned market. A highly motivated and winning team member will foster an inclusive and positive culture, driving collaboration and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell Residential and Commercial HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to HVAC contractors.
  • Develop partnerships with existing customers to increase their share of wallet and recruit new customers into the York family.
  • Represent York Factory Direct and promote the JCI portfolio in your assigned market.
  • Mentor and coach customers on utilizing all program features available to grow their business.
  • Create custom marketing strategies to help customers grow their business.
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sale, ensuring customers participate in industry-leading training classes offered locally and virtually.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3+ years of direct outside sales experience in the HVAC industry or B2B relationship selling in contractors.
  • A self-motivated individual with a high energy level and desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • High-performing sales individuals with an understanding of the sales process/cycle and knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
