We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at K2 Management. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Center of Excellence, you will play a crucial role in supporting our renewable energy projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, particularly for onshore wind projects. You will be the subject matter expert for wind turbine foundation design and collection system layout, as well as all civil engineering aspects of the balance of plant portion of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed reviews of design documents, reports, and calculations to provide technical guidance and recommendations for design improvements and optimizations.
  • Act as the Owner's Engineer representing the client's interests during project development and execution.
  • Project manage Owner's Engineer onshore wind scopes, supporting in the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage the development of wind turbine foundation designs from an Engineer of Record and optimize collection system layouts, meeting project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the balance of plant design, including access roads, crane pads, substation grading, layout, foundation, and associated infrastructure.
  • Conduct site visits during project construction to verify appropriate implementation of civil designs, review overall construction quality of work, QA/QC documentation, etc.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and provide clear and concise technical reports and presentations.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Masters preferred, combined with 5+ years of professional experience from a similar position within the renewable industry.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD. Pro, Plaxis, ArcGIS).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ANSI, ACI, ASME, ASTM, IBC).
  • Experience in engineering consultancy preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and a structured working approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work.
