About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Gates Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
  • Lead maintenance teams in areas of safety, performance, productivity, reactivity, quality, housekeeping, and personal accountability
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and track shift productivity
  • Provide daily direction and training to maintenance employees on assigned shift
  • Assist supervisor in ensuring policies and practices are administered in a fair and consistent fashion
Requirements
  • GED or High School Diploma required; 2-years technical degree preferred or 5 years of experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Communication skills; verbal, written listening and understanding
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, basic Programmable Logic Controller programming and troubleshooting, schematics reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and installation
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Individuals may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures in an indoor and outdoor work environment. Depending on work area, personal protective equipment will be required including hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses.
