Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Refrigeration Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the value-added workforce, executing daily production tasks while leveraging their expertise to mentor team members. This position is pivotal in fostering a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reviews of job assignments with team members to ensure adequate workload.
  • Assess produced items for quality, craftsmanship, precision, and completeness prior to distribution.
  • Instruct team members on best practices in quality, safety, and craftsmanship in alignment with established company standards, including annual evaluations of job hazard analyses.
  • Uphold cleanliness in the work area, promoting a culture of 6S.
  • Assist in servicing equipment, tools, and fixtures, maintaining records for preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Oversee the availability and usage of supplies and tools for the team.
  • Perform cycle counts and manage inventory within the work area.
  • Report on work order completions for shop floor management.
  • Ensure efficient task completion to adhere to the department's production timeline.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in areas such as BOM and router accuracy, production efficiency, waste minimization, and safety protocols.
  • Execute routine production tasks for the manufacturing of products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the designated area.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.
  • Other duties may be assigned to fulfill business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of leading team meetings.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Office software such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Solid foundational math skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking setting.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of two years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in HVAC or refrigeration is advantageous.
  • Possession of EPA Section 608 Certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first six months of employment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting; sheet metal experience is a plus.
