About the Role

The Production Supervisor is a key member of our team at The Cavco Family of Companies, responsible for leading a team and managing daily production goals. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee training standards, ensuring employees have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee departmental workplace safety and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Interpret and clarify company policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Manage personnel in a professional manner, promoting a culture of respect, honesty, and dignity.
  • Monitor material usage to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and correspondence as required by the company.
  • Provide employees with the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic based on personal integrity and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ensure and enforce expected product quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a supervisor or department lead in manufacturing, construction, or a similar setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety protocols, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proven experience as a hands-on manager with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees and management.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure production goals are met.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a teamwork-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
