About the team: The Supply Chain Supervisor will lead and supervise production personnel utilizing procedures and work instructions to meet or exceed customer and company requirements for safety, quality, delivery and cost. They will ensure training, scheduling, and administration of production employees and are responsible for performance reviews, including recommendations for monetary changes and corrective action functions. This position has a shift of 7 pm - 5 am.

  • Create positive results oriented work environment through coaching and mentoring of team leaders and employees and serve as liaison between employees and company.
  • Ensure safety and an issue free work environment and maintain and improve production performance processes through waste reduction, problem-solving and continuous improvement activity.
  • Compliance with all Internal and External Production Quality Management Systems
  • Understand production processes, requirements, and prioritize and make decisions to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Supervise and train production employees for growth and development by ensuring employees are qualified and trained to the proper procedures, policies & standards in assigned position.
  • Direct production by regulating, coordinating, planning, assigning, resolving problems, disciplinary action, and assuring compliance with company safety, work procedures/standards, and housekeeping.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of team leaders and employees through constructive feedback (e.g. written reviews, corrective counseling, etc.), support to meet expectations, maintain open door communication, and promote an issue free environment.
  • Represent the team by reviewing and relaying important information, make necessary inquiries to expedite projects in areas (such as manpower, process changes/problems, etc.), manage and assist team/department to achieve goals and process information (productivity, scrap, accident reduction, etc).
  • Facilitate team meetings (communication, safety, quality, etc.) using problem-solving techniques, maintain minutes, and follow-up on action plans to direct production operations and department to be in compliance with all company, division, and customer quality requirements.
  • Promote efficient production methods by assuring work instructions, standards, and all required documentation are in place as well as initiate and direct procedures to increase company quality and output.
  • Analyze operations, oversee new job assignments, analyze machine/equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments where needed.
  • Report results of the shift in a specific and complete manner (e.g. time and reporting employee hours, machine malfunctions, etc.) to promote shift to shift communication.
  • Comply with all internal and external production quality management systems and group directives.

*Must be able to work off-shift from 7 pm - 5 am.

Your profile as a Supply Chain Supervisor:

  • 4+ years related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred but not required
  • Proven leadership ability and strong people skills (coaching, mentoring, motivation, communication, problem resolution)
  • Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities, along with the application, tracking, utilization and purpose of KPI's
  • Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS office and SAP)
  • Strong skills and work experience in lean manufacturing (ZFPS, TPS, 5S, Continuous improvement)
  • Experience with line start up and product ramp up
