Position Overview:
As an Onsite Technology Refresh Specialist at Encore Technologies, you will be integral in facilitating the upgrade and transition of technological resources for our clients. Your role will encompass the physical setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software, as well as the removal and environmentally responsible disposal of outdated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with project managers, technical teams, and clients to ascertain refresh requirements, project scope, and timelines.
- Travel to client locations to execute technology refresh activities, ensuring adherence to established schedules while minimizing disruption to client operations.
- Unbox, configure, and test new hardware and software in accordance with client specifications.
- Facilitate data migration to ensure a seamless transition of user data from legacy systems to new platforms.
- Conduct comprehensive quality checks to verify that all systems are operational, updated, and compliant with security standards.
- Responsible for the removal and disposal of obsolete equipment, following company protocols and environmental regulations.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during the refresh process to resolve any unexpected issues.
- Maintain precise records of all equipment deployments, configurations, and client interactions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them updated on the progress of the refresh and addressing any inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and contribute to the knowledge base.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant coursework are advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in technology deployment, hardware setup, and software installation.
- Strong comprehension of operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to adhere to processes accurately.
- Basic understanding of data migration and backup procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic, on-site environment.
- Valid driver's license and readiness to travel to various client sites as necessary.
- Physical capability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and perform tasks in diverse settings.
