Overview:


As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the architecture, development, and testing of software solutions for various vehicle functionalities, including but not limited to: ignition systems, locking mechanisms, lighting controls, alarm systems, window operations, powered closures, seating adjustments, climate regulation, and more.

In this position, engineers will concentrate on the software creation and integration of application-level software for body control modules.

You will utilize Adaptive AUTOSAR and implement solutions in C++ for a QNX real-time operating system.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an embedded software architecture that operates within the ETAS framework of Adaptive AUTOSAR on a QNX RTOS
  • Adhere to ADAS software coding standards, comply with MISRA guidelines, and implement best practices
  • Create and implement FreeRTOS device drivers using C++
  • Design and develop ADAPTIVE AUTOSAR services utilizing C++
  • Convert requirements into control system designs to fulfill program objectives
  • Design and validate control algorithms to satisfy functional, regulatory, safety requirements, and functional safety (ISO standards)
  • Formulate and apply software validation testing methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure system functionality and reliability
  • Diagnose vehicle system functionality and diagnostic challenges; identify and validate corrective actions and preventive strategies
  • Lead project planning and program management for control systems to achieve functional, quality, and timing goals

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

3+ years of experience in software development using C++

3+ years of experience in designing and testing embedded systems for high-performance, high-reliability computing applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field
  • 1+ year of experience with ADAPTIVE AUTOSAR
  • Experience in the automotive sector
  • Familiarity with Google Test
  • Knowledge of ETAS AOS
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded software design and development for automotive, industrial, or aerospace/military applications with a proven track record in a dynamic, cross-functional engineering team environment
  • Experience in developing software that meets functional safety standards
  • Understanding of Agile software development practices
  • Experience with embedded RTOS such as QNX and FreeRTOS
  • Familiarity with automotive middleware, including Classic AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR
  • Experience in code optimization
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like bash and Python
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, Ethernet, and CAN
  • Understanding of sensor technologies used in robotics and autonomous driving applications (Camera/Vision, RADAR, LIDAR, INS/IMU)
