Your Responsibilities

As a Senior HVAC Controls Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Programming, troubleshooting, installing, commissioning, and performing preventative maintenance on HVAC control systems, including mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.
  • Responding to service and warranty inquiries using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Delivering exceptional technical support and repair services through effective communication with clients.
  • Providing recommendations for system repairs and updates, assisting clients in making informed decisions.
  • Joining a team of elite technicians while advancing your career within a leading global organization.
  • Ensuring the highest level of service to address building inefficiencies and resolve service-related issues.

How You Will Achieve This
  • Load and configure field and network-level controller software.
  • Conduct commissioning and diagnostics for various system controllers and end devices.
  • Keep management and clients informed about job progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including time sheets and expense reports.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built records.
  • Engage in ongoing training to maintain a high level of expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with clients upon arrival and before departing the work site.
  • Adhere to safety standards and participate in required safety training.
  • Offer recommendations to enhance facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
  • Prepare quotes to support your recommendations.

Qualifications We Seek

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree from a vocational school or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, along with three years of industry experience, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC sector.
  • A strong understanding of HVAC systems, their sequences, and applications.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.
  • A solid foundation in personal computer usage.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
