Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Inc. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week at our New Haven, CT Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clinicians in delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, making clients the center of all decision-making.
  • Contribute to health center initiatives to achieve productivity and revenue cycle goals.
  • Collaborate with center managers and clinicians to develop efficient systems and processes.
  • Stay knowledgeable about organizational and clinical standards, protocols, and policies.
  • Provide accurate and unbiased patient education and information.
  • Perform technical clinical functions, such as blood pressure checks, lab work, and medical charting.
  • Assist with basic office functions, including reception, telephone triage, and supply management.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes equity.

  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills for handling confidential information.
  • Comfort discussing sensitive topics, including sexuality, contraception, and pregnancy options.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Availability to work Saturdays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
