Job Overview

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Microservices Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable microservices using Go and Python.

We are looking for an exceptional engineer with a strong background in software development, API design, and distributed systems. You will work closely with our team to develop high-quality software that meets the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable microservices using Go and Python
  • Develop high-quality software that meets the needs of our users
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and maintain our microservices architecture
  • Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our services
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
Requirements
  • Strong background in software development, API design, and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in Go and Python programming languages
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database systems
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery experience
  • Experience with systems programming or scalable web services
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
