**Job Summary**

TrinityRail is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Specialist to join our team in Shell Rock, IA. As a key member of our railcar maintenance services team, you will be responsible for conducting training for welders, ensuring adherence to welding standards, and acting as a mentor to new employees.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Exhibit TrinityRail's core values and 3 Ts (take care of our people, trust, and transparency)
  • Make welds that pass NDT testing
  • Be present and available for work
  • Excel in a team environment
  • Act as a resource for production welders, providing additional training or guidance as needed
  • Produce high-quality welds on various types of base metal, including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Understand and ensure implementation of Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Uphold TrinityRail's welding and quality standards
  • Aid in managing the TrinityRail welder database
  • Assist in parameter verification for welding machines
  • Ensure safe practices are followed at all times

**Requirements:**

  • 3-5 years of metal fabrication experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trainees and plant leadership
  • Multiple welder qualifications in different welding processes
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Previous railcar experience highly recommended
