Job Title: Patient Care Partner

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Partner to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a Patient Care Partner, you will play a vital role in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of our patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient contact and care, including visual monitoring and observation of patients at risk for harming themselves or others.
  • Collaborate with patient care nursing staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Document observations and patient behaviors in the medical record, adhering to Connecticut Children's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with supervised clothing changes, secure patient belongings, and support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Participate in post-restraint huddles and maintain a safe environment of care, free of hallway clutter and safety concerns.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required upon hire and must remain current at all times.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification required within the first 3 months of employment.
