Job Summary

Compensation:

  • CDL A: $29.23 / hour
  • CDL B: $26.59 / hour

The CDL A Delivery Driver is responsible for assisting DC management in efficiently carrying out warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, receiving and stocking materials, customer deliveries, warehouse organization, and inventory maintenance.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver goods to customer-specified sites using company transport vehicles as needed.
  2. Confirm delivery information with the customer before the delivery leaves the warehouse.
  3. Physically load and unload goods at each site in a safe and secure manner using provided equipment if available.
  4. Ensure loads are properly secured prior to transport.
  5. As requested by DC management, pick up goods from suppliers.
  6. Unload and receive stock replenishment materials into the warehouse.
  7. Put away received goods according to company receiving policies.
  8. Note any damaged goods in the receiving process and notify.
  9. Ensure clear and safe passage in all warehouse aisles and loading docks.
  10. Report all unsafe storage and equipment issues to DC management immediately.
  11. Assist in order entry, if needed, via computer sales order program.
  12. Pull materials to fill orders via a pick ticket in an organized fashion.
  13. Perform multiple quality control checks to ensure accuracy of shipped goods.
  14. Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counting.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service.
  16. Ensure a clean and safe environment in regards to all working conditions.
  17. Observe all safety guidelines, including DOT, OSHA, and company policies and regulations.
  18. Participate in all safety training and maintain required safety certifications.
  19. Other duties as beneficial to Insulation Distributors Inc.

Qualifications/Skills
  • Operate material handling equipment, including a forklift, pallet jack, and shrink wrapper.
  • Identify product numbers and alpha/numeric codes.
  • Meet physical requirements of the position.
  • Use/learn computer order entry and inventory systems.
  • Achieve set goals in a timely manner.
  • Maintain CDL Class A Driver's License.
  • Train others.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in a warehouse facility preferred.
  • 2-4+ years' experience operating a commercial vehicle, including a straight box truck, preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
Licensures and Other Requirements
  • Meet all DOT, State, and/or Legal requirements that pertain to this position.
