Building Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at TARC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced work in the general upkeep of all buildings and property, including inspecting premises, conducting equipment maintenance, and performing repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality checks and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Repair electrical motors and building maintenance systems, including plumbing systems, skylights, roof, meters, hoist, and water heaters.
- Create work orders and process procurement requests for supplies.
- Communicate with supervisor regarding problems found with buildings and grounds.
- Perform repairs on gates and fencing at various locations.
- Perform floor repair or replacement where needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of related Building Maintenance experience.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Kentucky or Indiana Commercial Class B Driver's License with a passenger and air brakes endorsements within 60 days of hire.
- Construction skills such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, painting, and welding.
- Ability to use hand tools and other equipment needed to make repairs.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues.
- Knowledge of various federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations relevant to the work performed.
Incumbents generally work in a noisy environment with adequate light and temperature. There may be occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, fumes, noxious odors, dust, mist, gases, and poor ventilation. Must be able to see, hear, and speak, and be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Work will require mobility, including lifting or moving materials.
