Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics physician to join our team at the University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as a developmental and behavioral specialist.
  • Join the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to contribute to research and clinical activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty, ARNPs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and education.
About the Division

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is a national leader in research, with an NIH-funded Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (Hawk-IDDRC) and industry-sponsored clinical research.

We work closely with the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development, which has been Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) since 1972.

Requirements
  • Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent.
  • Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, or equivalent.
  • Board certified or eligible in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, or equivalent.
  • License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Clinical experience in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
  • Experience in patient-oriented research.
  • Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents.
  • Evidence of scholarly activity.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting an inclusive culture in the workforce and academic environment.
