Position Overview

Join our Cardiology Unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant II at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This role offers a .9 FTE, day shift opportunity, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.

Additional Benefits:

  • Evening shift differential – $2.25 per hour
  • Night shift differential – $4.00 per hour
  • $4,000 hiring bonus available for qualified external candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively within a high-performing team
  • Support the recovery process of surgical patients
  • Assist Registered Nurses with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Monitor and document vital signs, output, and weights
  • Collect specimens and conduct blood tests as needed
  • Facilitate patient mobility and transfers using safe handling techniques
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

The Certified Nursing Assistant II delivers essential patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to established care plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an OSBN-recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or equivalent experience
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a general hospital setting
  • One year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant II
