Job Description:

The Brooklyn Hospital Center is seeking a skilled Junior Analyst, Epic Ambulatory Application to provide tertiary support for the Ambulatory (Clinical) Application. As a key member of our team, you will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including the development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions. Your expertise will be utilized in collaboration with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to develop workflows and troubleshoot reported issues. This is a full-time role that requires flexibility in scheduling and working hours, which may be subject to change to support the application during upgrades and on-call periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop use cases and evaluate software solutions to support the Ambulatory Application.
  • Collaborate with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to develop workflows and troubleshoot reported issues.
  • Provide tertiary support for the Ambulatory (Clinical) Application.
  • Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of the Ambulatory Application.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working on maintenance, build fixes to small-sized projects (50100 hours).
  • EPIC Ambulatory Certification (PREFERRED).
  • EPIC Healthy Planet Certificate (PREFERRED).
  • Certificates in other Epic Outpatient Modules (PREFERRED).
  • Knowledge of areas that integrate with Cadence, including check-in, registration, benefits, referrals, PCP assignment, and orders.
  • Knowledge of the client areas function and systems, technology alternatives, and ability to work effectively with client and Information Technology Management and staff.
  • Knowledge of areas that integrate with Ambulatory, clinical software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and their impact on the technical aspects of a solution.
  • Ability to work in a complex multi-communication-channel environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams.
  • Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
