Radiology Application Specialist

The Radiology Application Specialist will provide support for the Radiant/PACS applications at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. This role will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including the development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging operations workflows and prior experience with EPIC implementation. Certification in EPIC Radiant and other clinical modules is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with client and IT management and staff, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in system development life cycle, including use case development and software evaluation
- Provide support for Radiant/PACS applications
- Work closely with Senior Radiology/PACS Manager to develop workflows and troubleshoot reported issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or related field
- Prior experience with EPIC implementation and imaging operations workflows
- EPIC Radiant Certification (highly preferred)
- Certification in other EPIC Inpatient/Outpatient Clinical modules (highly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage own work independently
