This position focuses on essential areas such as Title IV compliance, credit balance management, and monitoring leave of absence statuses for current students.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, the specialist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough audits and reviews of all Title IV payments for active student accounts to ensure that credit balances are resolved within a 14-day timeframe.
  • Reviewing and auditing active student accounts before the conclusion of the loan period to guarantee adherence to institutional policies.
  • Monitoring scheduled gaps and leave of absence statuses to verify fund eligibility and ensure timely completion of refunds in compliance with federal regulations.
  • Ensuring that the 14-day Student Intent to Return Federal Regulation is met by reviewing and monitoring all active student accounts.
  • Addressing and resolving any regulatory compliance issues identified during daily operations.
  • Accurately and promptly posting all funds to align with internal policies, procedures, and federal requirements.
  • Reviewing and completing tuition adjustments to maintain compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or business. A Bachelor's degree along with 2 to 4 years of experience in banking or accounting is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:
Experience in financial aid is advantageous.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and spreadsheets, is required. The candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience with campus management systems is a plus. Flexibility in working hours is necessary to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

This position is full-time and requires availability during the day, evening, and weekends.
