The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Packaging Operator to join our team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating a packaging line and related equipment, including startup, clearing jams, manual operations, and shutdown. You will also assist in changeovers, wash outs, and preventative maintenance, and perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize run time.

You will work effectively in a team-based work environment and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and management. You will also be required to use computers for data entry and reporting purposes.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a packaging line and related equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in changeovers, wash outs, and preventative maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize run time
  • Strong communication skills and command of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Able and willing to work overtime, when the business needs additional support
