Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Update Files: Ensure that all physical and computer files are up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Process Fingerprint Forms: Process and distribute fingerprint forms to appropriate agencies and courts.
  • Compute Jail Credit: Compute jail credit for inmates and provide information to authorized requesting parties.
  • Provide Information: Provide information to various parties, including law enforcement agencies, courts, and individuals.
  • Operate TLETS/NLETS System: Operate the TLETS/NLETS system to obtain needed information.
  • Perform Inmate Record Checks: Perform individual inmate record checks for various law enforcement agencies.
  • Furnish Inmate Photographs: Furnish inmate photographs as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus at least one year of experience in a related field.
  • Certification: Certification from the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS), including TCIC/NCIC Certifications and Certification on sex offender's registration policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of court documents, local, state, and federal laws relating to operation of Sheriffs office, TCIC/NCIC system and procedures, Office policies and procedures, and standard office practices and procedures.
